Dressember Day 8: A Little Edge

Happy Tuesday, y'all! It's day 8 of Dressember! Like I mentioned here, I will have outfit posts on both Monday's and Tuesday's and they each will feature two Dressember outfits. They will also be themed. Today's theme is a little edge.

Dress: Ross (similar)
Jacket: Old Navy (similar, similar)
Necklace: Premier Designs (similar, similar)
Boots: Target (similarsimilar)

When I actually wore this outfit, I wore it with a pair of opaque tights because it was just too cold otherwise. I love this outfit because the military jacket adds just a little bit of edge to the outfit. I also love how these colors go together. The blush, various browns, and olive go together SO WELL.

Dress: Old Navy (similar, similar)
Booties: Target (similar, similar)
Tassel necklace: Made by me
Small necklace: Charming Charlie (exact, similar)

I have worn this outfit multiple times because I love how simple but cute it is. Also, it is extremely comfortable. Funny story: this dress was actually found in the little girls department at Old Navy. It is a size XL in girls. It fits more like a XS or S. No joke.

I have never layered necklaces before, but have wanted to for some time. I think that it turned out pretty well.

Also, I encourage you to prayerfully consider donating to Dressember. "Dressember uses fashion to advocate for women who've been exploited for their femininity. As women take on the creative challenge of wearing a dress for the 31 days of December, they are advocating for the inherent dignity of all women." (source) There are women everywhere who are being abused. As a matter of fact, many of these women and girls are US citizens. There are more slaves in the world now than there ever were before. According to the U.S. State Department, 600,000 to 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year, of which 80% are female and half are children. It takes people like you and me to change that. Please consider donating to help these women and children. Donating is fast easy and secure. You can donate here.
